[a moment in time with hwangbo] 03.09.2010 photos at press conference by missauditor

the press conference started at noon of 03.09.2010. i think about 50 to 70 people (fans + press) attended the event. as always, she smiles a lot and undeniably stunning with her simple little black dress.

as the press conference ended, fans were ushered to the stage for a very brief meet and greet. subsequently, hwangbo continued her activities in thailand with few more private interviews i.e. magazines. as at yesterday, i was informed that there are 3 magazines going to publish about her activities in bangkok.

during the press conference, shimpty spoke about hwangbo upcoming activities i.e. digital single, drama. hwangbo also expressed her interest to visit fans in other countries. i hope everything is doing well for her. she just deserves it.

after an overwhelmed welcome i saw at the airport, we (liz, cath, tina - all are singaporean fans and myself) took cabs to the hotel and attended all the check-in procedures. at around 3.00 a.m i was drifted to hwangboland ^^

at around 8.30 a.m, mamypoko, yammy and sukinum greeted us at the hotel lobby for the next activity. we walked, took trains, got to cabs and walked again before finally arrived at ratvithee home. we were mingling around before hwangbo arrived and kick-off the activities.

at ratvithee home, she did some speech, ushered around ratvithee home, served foods i.e. rice, drinks, ice-creams, play with the kids and last but not least took photos. from my zero understanding of thai's language, i understood that she donated a keyboard to ratvithee home.

from my observation, she smiles a lot doing everything for the kids. she tease the kids, signed when she was asked for and energetically walked around doing all the serving. given the 5 hours flight ride (from korea to thailand) just a few hours before and a very hot weather in bangkok (compared to korea), she's really the best!

and that shimpty guy, sincha! he just walked around, acted cute and do the fanboy stuff i.e. taking video and pic of hwangbo and fans. kekeke. contrary, manager-nim was very serious. but i am glad he is the manager-nim. i think, he took care of hwangbo very well.

i reached suvarnabumhi airport at around 8.00 p.m of thai's time. the first awesome people i met was sukinum. later, one after another came up and did all the setting i.e. banners, distribute the t-shirt, signing the fanmeet souvenirs, etc.

we waited for about 5 hours before hwangbo was finally right in front of our eyes. thai's fans were fantabolous (fantastic + marvelous) with 5 banners from various fanclub i.e. joongboholic, ssangchu & ss501, pantip, etc.

first of all, i'm really sorry for late updates ^^ . with missauditor away to bangkok, just left me to update this blog, and today, i'm so busy with my interview. hehe
but missauditor keep sms-ing me some info + tidbits from bangkok ... me so giddy + excited lol ~~

digital single: she able to chit chat with shimty and he said that hwangbo will released digital single soon - in the next 2 months
[ yeppi~~ so excited. so prepare some $$ by now ^^ ]
drama: finally, we able to see her acting in a drama.
according to leirui @ hwangbo soompi;

heard that hb is going to participate in a mini drama during 4-8th oct!
the drama will be shown on korea financial TV.
title of the mini drama is "chief kim & agent lee"
it will consists of 5episodes and maybe will add on more depending on the feedback.
hb will be acting as a office girl called "chae yeon ji" under the sales/business dept.
ideal guy: her ideal guy is smart, handsome and like to do charity just like her ^^

hwangbo is the youngest in a family of dad, mom, older brother and herself. she is well-known for her manly personality as she hold third degree black belt in taek-wondo and a car racer license. despite her 'manliness' she is very good in cooking and sewing. she graduated from seoil university and major in theatre and film.

hwangbo debut in 1999 as a rapper member in 'bros' and later formed a 4 members girl group 'chakra'. hwango hold the leader and rapper position. hwangbo had 1 album with bros and 4 albums with chakra. chakra was disbanded in 2004. hwangbo than moves as a solo singer.

hwangbo is very active in mc'ing. she did couples break-up, muhan girls (season1), nodaji, delicious TV, midnight idols (obama), human mentor, etc. She is also participating in various variety and tv shows i.e. x-man, love letter, we got married, idol shows, olive show, tasty road, lets beauty, religious related shows, etc.

acting wise, hwangbo has everything in her resume. from movie to drama to sitcom and musical. movie; emergency act 19 (2002), love of south and north (2003) and goodbye for just a while (2004). drama; the secret lover (2005), can love become money (2012). sitcom; the disco king (2002), what women want (2004), kim and lee (2011) and oh my god (2012). musical; nun sensation (2012).

as a solo singer, hwangbo release her only full album so far in 2007 title 'lady in black'. the album has total of 13 tracks. next she released various single albums and digital tracks. singles; gift for him (2008), r2song (2009). digital; sang sang (2008), words i can't believe (2009), i'm still beautiful (2010).

other than her celebrity-like lifestyle, hwangbo is very passionate about charity activities. she is an active member of compassion, an international organisation that taking care of unfortunate kids around the world. herself has a few adopted kids around the globe. she's singing at charity events, visiting old folks home, visiting refugees, road peace demonstrations, charity auction, distribute charcoals, talks to students, she did all. hwangbo is not someone who brag about her charity-do. most of the time fans only know about her charity events from pictures uploaded by the attendees.

hwangbo ventures into food business as she co-shared with her long time friend and boss, shimty, to open a restaurant on 5 february 2011. the restaurant is called simsontang and located in hongdae. since its opening, many fans frequent the restaurant and visitors can witness partial of the decorations were given by fans.

in 2013, compared to few years back, hwangbo is not very active on screen. she is said pursuing her study in hong kong. this whole year she is going back and forth korea and hongkong for her classes and her duty to mc muhan girls (season 3) and take care of simsontang. she stay connected with her fans through her cyworld 'hwangbolls', twitter @Estella816, facebook '황보 Estella', and instagram 'hwangbonly1'.
